Scholes implores Man Utd to avoid re-signing Juventus star Pogba

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged the club to resist signing Paul Pogba.

The French midfielder, who left United for Juventus for just a compensation fee in the summer of 2012, is being linked with a potential big-money return to Old Trafford.

Pogba's future at Juventus continues to be clouded but one thing for certain is that his signature will fetch a huge transfer fee, believed to be somewhere in the region of £70million.

When pondering the possibility of Pogba coming back to United, former Red Devils star Scholes has implored his old club to refrain from splashing out on a player who left for next to nothing.

'As for United, I don't feel they should go back to sign Pogba for the sums being talked about having lost him for the compensation payment,' Scholes wrote in the London Evening Standard and The Independent.

'I understand that Chelsea did the same when they bought back Nemanja Matic from Benfica, but his fee was nothing like the numbers quoted for Pogba. It would feel wrong to me.'
