Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes wants to build on 2008's trophy-laden year.
He said: "This year has been a great one for us. We won the league and the European Cup in May and this season has gone well so far.
"We are still in four competitions and I'm looking forward to next year.
"My aim for 2009 is to see United win everything and for me to be a part of a team that goes on to lift trophies at the end of the season."
United are seven points off the pace in the Premier League but have two games in hand over leaders Liverpool.
And Scholes is convinced United's patchy league form will pick up now they have returned from their tiring, 10-day, 12,000-mile round trip to Japan.
He said: "Now we can really concentrate on the league, the Champions League and the two domestic cups.
"It was in our minds for a long time that we had to go over to Japan for 10 days in the middle of the season.
"It's nice to be back and able to focus on the other competitions."
