Paul Scholes is expected to expand his coaching role at Manchester United in the coming months.
Scholes returned to United to relaunch his coaching career this week.
He is initially working alongside Nicky Butt, though it is anticipated that that job description will expand in the coming months.
The two former midfield partners were sat together watching on in yesterday's afternoon's under-19 clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
It was Butt's first game in sole charge, after previously working alongside under-21 manager Warren Joyce and academy coach Paul McGuinness.
