Morgan Schneiderlin has ambitions to represent France one day after impressing for Southampton. The 24 year old told L'Equipe newspaper: "A lot of people tell me, 'If you were English, you would already be in national team.
"My name is largely unknown in France, which is logical because I joined Southampton when they were playing in the Championship as an 18-year-old.
"Let's face it, Southampton is a club that doesn't make people dream. But my objective is to play for the French national team.
"I stand a good chance of a call-up if we remain in Premier League top six because we will then attract more interest.
"My success has shut a lot of people up who told me that I would lose myself at Southampton."
