Seattle Sounders FC have announced a new contract for head coach Sigi Schmid.
The 61-year old, who guided the club to the 2014 MLS Supporters' Shield, has signed a multi-year deal with the Sounders who he has been in charge of since 2009.
Since arriving in Seattle from Columbus Crew, Schmid has helped the club lift four Lamar Hunt US Open Cups as well as this season's regular season title.
