Schmid hoping for some luck for Seattle Sounders

Seattle Sounders boss Sigi Schmid is hoping for a bit of fortune when his side takes on LA Galaxy in their make-or-break play-off tonight.

The Sounders lost 1-0 at home in the first leg last week because of an Edson Buddle special and Schmid hopes his side can experience some luck like that at The Home Depot Center.

"It all depends what their approach is at home. Obviously our approach has to be somewhat similar as it was in Seattle in that we need and we need to score goals, which is what we wanted to do," he said.

"We hope we have a little more good fortune than we had in Seattle. But as a game plan, I don't expect the Galaxy to be that much different because they were successful with what they did in Seattle. But on the same token, being at home I think they will be a little bit more willing to go forward than they did in Seattle."
