Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel would like to see Sir Alex Ferguson buy Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

Schmeichel is a big fan of the Germany international and feels he would be an ideal signing for United.

"Mats Hummels is great. I heard rumors about interest from Manchester United. And he is one I would imagine would do very well there, he would fit in there like a glove," Schmeichel told SPORT1.
