Kasper Schmeichel has confirmed he intends to sign a new deal with Leicester City.
The Denmark international has agreed a four-year contract with City and told Berlingske he hopes to sign it soon..
"There's nothing signed yet, but we are close," he said. "It is very natural that I would like to stay, because we have fought for three years to go up, and now finally succeeded.
"The club and I'm reasonably agree on things, and I hope soon to be able to announce that I will be in Leicester.
"That's [The Premier League] where I want to play, and I have never hid it. We have a good club with a good setup and a good coaching staff. Maybe we need some extra players, but the intention is then that we can make our voice heard."
