Schmeichel admits Man City career in limbo

Manchester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel admits his career is in limbo.

Schmeichel remains unsure where his future lies as Sven Goran Eriksson waits for the green light to officially become Manchester City's new manager.

With fellow keeper Nicky Weaver joining Charlton, the young Dane hopes he can now be part of the Premiership club's immediate future.

He said: "Sven was at training on Wednesday but he didn't really get the chance to talk to many players. Until I speak to him myself, I haven't really got a clue what is going on. But Sven's record speaks for itself, he has proved he is a great manager.

"I don't know how many keepers we will have next season, but Nicky has gone. It depends if the club want to bring young keepers like me on. For now, it's the same situation. I'm not getting frustrated, it's just football. I'll find out in time."
