Schmeichel accepts Man City keeper search

Kasper Schmeichel accepts he may be forced to stand aside should Manchester City buy a new goalkeeper before Friday's transfer deadline.

He said: "Obviously, I'm enjoying the moment. Three clean sheets and three victories in a row is beyond all expectations.

"I am still young and have a lot to learn.

"I have a lot of respect for Eriksson. He is a great manager.

"I know City want to sign another goalkeeper with experience. It is the manager's decision but as long as he picks me I will do my very best."

As for last week's stunning win over United, he added: "It was a fantastic experience and a strange feeling as I always supported United in my early years because of my dad.

"But now I'm playing for City and this is where my loyalty is."
