Wigan's Austria international Paul Scharner says moving to the Premiership has improved him as a player.
He said: "Austria has recently done well against England. The latest 2-2 draw was actually quite unfortunate. We should already have won back then. But the English game is much faster than ours, they usually run all 90 minutes.
"I covered approximately 12 kilometres playing against Chelsea. That's unimaginable for any player of the Austrian league.
"However, Austria plays technically-skilled football and has proven to be strong on dead-ball situations.
"There is the same level of potential in Austria as there is in Italy or England. We have great talent, but we don't have the infrastructure yet."
