Paul Scharner is keen to shelve future talk for now and wait until his loan period with Wigan ends before making any decision. The versatile Austrian re-joined the Latics in January from Bundesliga outfit Hamburg.
The 33 year old told the Wigan Evening Post: "I wouldn't like to put a figure on it, but my own target is to play for a few more years yet.
"Where that will be, I don't know.
"But it's not the right time to be speaking about my future, to be honest.
"I am totally focused on the matches between now and the end of the season, and nothing else. Of course I am very happy here at Wigan, but let's get the next 11 matches out of the way before we talk about the other stuff.
"I am enjoying playing 90 minutes every week, staying in the starting XI, and as long as that continues I will be happy."
