Schalke striker Jefferson is convinced of upsetting Champions League semifinal opponents Manchester United.
The Germans are being criticised for failing to deliver a tilt at the Bundesliga title.
But as they prepare to welcome Manchester United to Tuesday's first leg semi-final, Farfan said: "The best team in the competition, on record, was Inter Milan this season.
"They were the defending champions and considered by everyone as the strongest team of Europe. But we beat them home and away, scoring a total of seven goals in the last round. I know we've not produced the same results in the Bundesliga, but that's mainly because of our poor start.
"But I am convinced we will get to the final if we play against United like we did against Inter.
"The Champions League is an entire different competition.
"It is a far tougher campaign. But we are a strong side and can go all the way in Europe.''
