Schalke signing Kevin-Prince Boateng chose to leave AC Milan in part due to racism.
Schalke finance chief Peter Peters made the claim in BILD yesterday.
"Boateng wanted to leave because of the too many racist incidents in Italy," he said.
"Milan President Silvio Berlusconi promised him that he would be able to go if Milan qualified for the Champions League group stages."
