Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones has revealed that he hopes to eventually play Major League Soccer, potentially with LA Galaxy.

The 30-year old German-born USA international is contracted with Schalke until 2014 and even though he has spent his entire with German clubs, he plans to finish his playing days in North America once his time in the Bundesliga is up.

"I already told (Schalke general manager) Horst Heldt I am very well able to imagine playing four more years at Veltins-Arena with Schalke,” he told Sport-BILD.

"I think that I do not have the desire to move on within Europe and to retire from Bundesliga at Schalke.

"I have two years left on my current deal, I would be out to sign for two more years. In 2016 I would like to reside in my house in Los Angeles, living in the United States and still playing football there."
