Schalke hope a new contract offer will convince Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to stay.
The Dutchman admitted last week he fancied a move to England, where he has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham.
But its emerged Schalke are preparing a three-year deal for Huntelaar to consider worth €21 million.
