Schalke midfielder Max Meyer is aware of interest from Liverpool.
Meyer is admired by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
"I know from the past that he appreciates me as a player," Meyer told Kicker.
"After my first derby against Borussia Dortmund - I was 18-years-old and scored a goal - he has publicly expressed praise for me.
"That's a nice feeling, when a great coach as he finds you good."
He added: "It is not that I have to play absolutely to the end of my career near my home.
"You could maybe someday at least consider new experiences, if another club is interested."
