Schalke midfielder Jones set for US return as Klinsmann settles on starting line-up

Jermaine Jones is expected to slot back into Juergen Klinsmann's line-up for Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier against Honduras.

The US host Los Catrachos in Sandy, Utah in their sixth CONCACAF hexagonal round fixture for the Brazil 2014 finals and will have the services of Schalke midfielder Jones to call on once again.

The 31-year old missed last week's 2-0 win over Panama because of concussion but will likely be back in Klinsmann's midfield, quite possibly at the expense of Stoke City's Geoff Cameron who put in a Man of the Match performance in Seattle.

Klinsmann offered the following when quizzed on his team selection ideas: "Yes, I've already made those decisions. (But) No, I'm not going to share.

"We have a very high-quality spine of this team. There, we have Jermaine as a [defensive midfielder] and Michael [Bradley] as a [box-to-box midfielder]."

Klinsmann will also have to decide on a replacement for the suspended DaMarcus Beasley, who has been performing well at left-back, and work out where the returning Graham Zusi fits after Eddie Johnson impressed on the right side of midfield against Panama.
