Schalke are seeking talks with Arsenal for attacker Lukas Podolski.
The Daily Mail says Schalke want Podolski on loan which Arsenal are unlikely to agree to unless they get their marquee striker.
Arsenal also have an interest in Schalke right-back Atsuto Uchida but the Germans are reluctant to sell.
