Liverpool are keeping tabs on Kyriakos Papadopoulos's situation at Bayer Leverkusen.

The Greece defender is on-loan at Bayer from Schalke and his contract has just over a year to run.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been a long-term fan of Papadopoulos and is weighing up a summer bid, says BILD.

Schalke chief Horst Heldt insists: "We plan to have Papa for the upcoming season."

But with his deal due to expire in 2016, Schalke could be forced to cash in this year.
