Schalke are eyeing Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero.
The midfield schemer is under consideration at Schalke as a replacement for Ivan Rakitic, who left for Sevilla in January.
Granero's abilities have been talked up at Schalke by his former Real captain Raul.
The midfielder, 23, has quietly established himself in Jose Mourinho's midfield since the turn of the year.
