Schalke management has confirmed they want to keep hold of Chelsea fullback Abdul Rahman Baba.

The Ghana international joined S04 on-loan at the start of the season, but was injured midyear while on international duty.

Schalke chief Christian Heidel stated on Thursday they hope to hang onto Baba for next season.

"I think we'll be able to do something in the next few days, that he will play for S04 next season," confirmed Heidel.

Baba is expected to remain as a replacement for Arsenal bound Sead Kolasinac.
