Schalke chief Heidel must renegotiate Baba terms with Chelsea

Schalke chief Christian Heidel is seeking talks with Chelsea over a new deal for Abdul Rahman Baba.

The Ghana fullback, currently on-loan with S04, is out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury, though Heidel hopes to extend his deal into next term.

Fussball Transfers says there's no permanent option nor price set in Baba's loan, meaning Heidel will have start from scratch with Chelsea.

But he made it clear this week they hope to keep the fullback.

"If it is somehow possible, we would like to keep him. I do not think it's impossible for him to play for the season for Schalke. Of course, his home club Chelsea plays the decisive role," said Heidel.
