Schalke chief Heidel confirms Arsenal, Liverpool target Meyer 'exploring market'

Schalke management accept Max Meyer is preparing to leave this summer.

Off contract, Meyer has scored 22 goals in 189 appearances for Schalke and has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are understood be keen.

And Schalke's sporting director Christian Heidel has confirmed that Meyer is 'exploring the market'.

He told RevierSport: "It is clear that Max and his advisors are exploring the market. And we're not doing anything different."
