Schalke chief Christian Heidel has fired back at Max Meyer's agent after claims made over the weekend.
The midfielder's agent, Roger Wittmann, criticised Heidel for sending just "two emails" over the course of negotiations.
But the S04 director countered: "I know consultants who write two e-mails and want millions for it. I will not comment on that - I cannot believe he says that.
"I will not talk about it in public, because I do not think that would be good for the cause and not good for Max either."
Heidel also hopes Meyer isn't being led by Wittman's advice, adding: "I hope not. The adviser advises the player, and then I hope both make a decision together."
