Schalke chief Horst Heldt admits they need Champions League qualification to be sure of keeping Julian Draxler.

The talented midfielder has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal in the English press over the last fortnight.

Heldt remarked: "We want him to stay as long as possible. We must make sure that he feels good.

"It helps of course if we can do that (qualify for the Champions League)."
