Arsenal have been encouraged in their pursuit of Schalke star Julian Draxler. The Telegraph says Schalke have admitted that they might be powerless to keep the Germany forward.
Draxler, 20, is a long-term transfer target of Arsenal and has already openly expressed his interest in a move to the Emirates this summer.
"We continue to hope that Julian remains," said Schalke general manager Horst Heldt. "But there are factors that we cannot influence."
Draxler has a buy-out clause of £37.8million.
