Schalke coach Domenico Tedesco admits they face a battle to keep hold of Max Meyer.
The midfielder is off contract in June and BILD says Arsenal and Liverpool are both interested in the Bosman prospect.
Tedesco said: "He would be a big loss. But we would not stop playing football at Schalke. These are the things that cannot affect us now, only during the summer break.
"Max has our contract offer on the table and he is considering it. We know where you have Max and Max know where he has us. I never think he has played as much as he does now.
"He plays in that position where he can show his strength."
