Schalke coach Roberto di Matteo can't believe Carlo Ancelotti is under pressure at Real Madrid.

Schalke meet Real in the Champions League this week.

"Carlo is a very successful coach. I know him very well because he was [Arrigo] Sacchi's assistant when I was playing for the Italian national side," said Di Matteo.

"He is a highly-experienced coach - always with very successful sides and he works well with squads who have very good players. You'd be hard pushed to find a coach who's better than Ancelotti."

Di Matteo added: "Real Madrid are not in crisis - a lot of things happen during the course of the season. They have enormous quality and there's no way that I could say they are immersed in a crisis."
