Schalke are keeping tabs on Martin Jol's situation at Fulham.

The Sunday Mirror says Jol is facing ­opposition from senior members of his playing staff, who are unhappy with some of his methods.

Schalke have included Jol on their list of candidates to become the club's next boss.

The potential departure of Jol, who has been forced to deny feuding with John Arne Riise, would not be greeted with sorrow by everybody at Craven Cottage.

Sources complain that Jol can come across as arrogant and his mood during ­Fulham's poor Premier League run is said to have severely darkened.
