Reports suggest that a Scandinavian consortium could complete the takeover of Heart of Midlothian before the end of the season.
Norwegian and Swedish businessmen are moving on the Edinburgh club and will hold a meeting with fans this week as they look to take control from current owner Vladimir Romanov.
The group of six are hoping to get the Hearts Foundation on board to run the football operations and believe they can win over the supporters with their future plans.
A source close to the group told SunSport: "A formal meeting with the Foundation will hopefully take place this week following on from the informal discussions and talks we've had so far.
"If all goes well that should take things to another level, to the point where submitting a formal bid can start being looked at.
"The bottom line is the Scandinavian consortium is still very much interested in doing a deal at Hearts.
"Things are moving forward with the group monitoring the situation surrounding the club and its owner. They are, in principle, ready to strike fast should the right opportunity arise."
