Scan reveals Chelsea striker Batshuayi clear of ankle fracture, but...

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has avoided an ankle fracture in action for Borussia Dortmund yesterday.

Batshuayi was stretchered off against Schalke after clashing with Benjamin Stambouli.

Early reports had the Belgian having broken his ankle, however BILD says he has avoided a fracture. Instead, Batshuayi will undergo a scan on Monday morning to check for ligament damage.

If it is a serious injury, he could still be ruled out of the World Cup.

Batshuayi is on-loan at BVB to the end of this season.
