Australian free-to-air broadcaster SBS has sub-licensed a package of Uefa Champions League broadcast rights from BeIN Sport, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
Under the agreement, SBS will show one live match on Wednesdays and a weekly one-hour highlights show on Thursdays for the next three seasons.
SBS has been a broadcaster of Europe's elite club soccer competition since its inception in 1992.
The new deal comes after it emerged earlier this month that BeIN had acquired the rights to the Champions League across the Oceania region for the coming three-year cycle.
"SBS is pleased to work with BeIN Sport as their exclusive free-to-air partner for the Uefa Champions League," said SBS director of sport, Ken Shipp.
"Football is becoming increasingly competitive in the Australian market so we're delighted that we've secured the rights for another three years."
