Javier Saviola refuses to accept his Real Madrid career is over.

The Argentina international has hardly featured since his summer move from Barcelona and is expected to be offloaded in the summer.

But Saviola says: "Today, I am not thinking about leaving Real Madrid. I want to play my minutes, I want to see if with those minutes I can live up to a club like Madrid. I think it is impossible to evaluate me after six games in the Liga.

"I've faith that I am going to overcome this situation."

He added: "I am proud to be the first Argentine to play for both Barcelona and Real Madrid."
