Stefan Savic sent out a chilling warning to the Premiership that Manchester City have the quality to continue their improvement. The depth of quality at boss Roberto Mancini's disposal was highlighted when he changed the entire starting line-up for the 5-2 Carling Cup success at Wolves.
The Montenegro international said: "It is fantastic to play for this club and the most important thing is that we continue to win.
"I think we will improve from game to game and our play will be better and better.
"Our target if possible is to be champions of the Premier League, to go to the next round of the Champion League.
"Our aim is to win trophies, and the club expect that from us, and I think we have the quality to do that.
"But we need to stay with our feet on the ground and to continue to prove ourselves from game to game.
"The season isn't finished. There are a lot of games to play but I think we have the quality to be champions of the Premier League."
Savic added: "Can any team stop us? I think for now we are in good form but you never know what can happen.
"We need to play like earlier, like now, and to improve as a team. I hope we will continue this form and we will be the champions."
