Former Leicester City star Robbie Savage can't understand Wayne Bridge being happy to sit on his wages at Manchester City.
Bridge is being linked with a loan move to Arsenal for next month.
Meanwhile, Savage said in the Mirror: "I just can't get my head around that one. If you're professional footballer, surely you want to play professional football. It's in the job description, isn't it?
"Look, I understand the position he's in. Nobody forced Manchester City to pay him a reported £80,000-a-week and it's not all his fault that the Blues have since found players who they're more comfortable with at left back.
"But if it was me I would have been out of there the minute Alexander Kolarov arrived, never mind Gael Clichy. I'd have taken a 50% pay cut if I'd had to.
"And though that would have been done through gritted teeth, it would have all been worth it the minute I pulled on my new club's shirt walked out on the pitch.""Wayne clearly isn't going to do that at City, where he has made only one first team appearance in the whole of 2011. Yet even though he's 31, he's in no hurry to move on.
