Sassuolo are set to sign Alberto Aquilani.

Sky Italia says the deal is done and the 32-year-old will make the move on loan from Pescara for six months.

Aquilani is eager to reunite with Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco, as the pair worked together when EDF was the team manager at Roma in 2005-06.

This season Aquilani managed nine appearances for Pescara, contributing one goal and one assist.

The veteran is a former Roma and Liverpool player.
