Kevin-Prince Boateng is delighted with his move to Sassuolo.

Boatang left German Cup winners Eintracht Frankfurt to return to Serie A this summer.

The former AC Milan attacker said: "There's pasta here.

“Very, very good pasta. Recently I went to a restaurant and it was so good that I even went into the kitchen and hugged the chef.

“Food this good isn't normal, you have to be careful not to get fat.

“I didn't just leave Germany to be closer to my family, but also because [Niko] Kovac was gone. It's no secret that I went to Eintracht for him, but more than anything I wanted to leave a positive memory with a German team.

“Knowing I can return to Frankfurt and the people will welcome me with open arms is beautiful. Finally I wasn't kicked out!"
