Sao Paulo director says they must listen to Man Utd Lucas offer
Sao Paulo's board is split over Manchester United's pursuit of star midfielder Lucas. While president Juvenal Juvencio has insisted they want to keep hold of Lucas, despite United offering €40 million, his No2, Carlos Augusto de Barros has hinted of another school of thought inside the boardroom.
He told Terra: "In this negotiation they must talk with our president, Mr Juvenal Juvencio. My opinion is that with an offer of forty million, with must give the player the choice.
"But that's if such a proposal arrives."
