Sao Paulo complete signing of Roma fullback Cicinho

Sao Paulo have announced the signing of Roma fullback Cicinho.

The Brazilian had already played for the club from 2003 to 2005 before his move to Real Madrid, but never really settled in Serie A.

“I have just left a meeting with Roma to discuss my contract. I’m living a dream! I will return to Sao Paulo, I’m going home,” he told Globoesporte.

“I can’t wait to get on that plane. Admittedly I’m not 100 per cent fit, but I will do everything I can for this side and have so much enthusiasm.

“I couldn’t be fit considering I’ve played two consecutive games in a month, one of which was for 80 minutes and the other 50 seconds.

“I’m happy that everything has been sorted out for the best. Roma are a great club and that is why they worked to help me.”
