Sao Paulo are angry over Atletico Madrid claims of a deal for Joao Miranda.

Atletico coach Quique Sanchez Flores declared earlier this week that the defender would be moving to Spain in June.

But Sao Paulo director of football Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes insisted last night: "We reached an agreement with Miranda before the holidays and we agreed to meet to discuss a renewal.

"The news of a deal with Atletico is strange to us."
