Sao Paulo admit they could rip up the loan contract of Inter Milan striker Adriano after his latest controversy.
"We have fined him 40 per cent of the monthly wages he receives from us," explained Vice-President Carlos Augusto Barros Sulva. "If he does not accept this punishment, then he will leave here."
That sum translates as approximately £48,000, but there is a far larger threat on the horizon for the former Imperatore.
"The club can terminate its contract with Adriano," confirmed director Marco Aurelio Cunha.
"Punishments and fines don't have any effect on him, we need to establish rules and find the right compromise. If it does not happen, it is best we go our separate ways."
