Santos struggling to cover cost of Man City loan signing Robinho

Santos fans are already going cold on Manchester City star Robinho.

Robinho helped Santos to a 10-0 win over Brazilian Cup opponents Naviraiense on Wednesday night.

But given the excitement surrounding Robinho's signing from Manchester City, you would expect better than the 11,336 crowd for the Brazilian Cup match.

Only a few hundred more turned up for his debut at the 18,000-capacity Vila Belmiro last month, when he struck twice against an almost-as-poor Bragantino in the Sao Paulo State Championship.

Santos took gate receipts of about £60,000 for the Cup match, which doesn't even cover Robinho's weekly wage.
