Santos star Neymar reveals Chelsea, Man Utd among chasing pack

Santos star Neymar says Chelsea and Manchester United are among clubs chasing him. A change of heart means he is now ready to move to Europe this winter, but he would disappoint his English suitors again if he gets to choose.

"There are five big clubs interested in me: Juventus, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Inter Milan," Neymar told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The proposal that I like most is that from Juventus. They have great worldwide appeal. Inter have prestige. Ronaldo played there and he is one of my idols, but I prefer Juventus.

"I say this without problems - I'd willingly wear the Bianconeri jersey."

Santos insisted in the summer they would not sell for less than Neymar's release clause and that is believed to now stand at close to £40million as part of the new contract. But Neymar believes there is room for manoeuvre.

"The club's officials have said that I'm not for sale,' he said. 'But I don't think the same. This may be the right time to try the European adventure."

Chelsea were prepared to pay £25m for him in the summer and offer a whopping £55,000 a week - £15,000 more than he currently earns.

Neymar was reluctant to leave his friends behind but has since found the goldfish bowl of Santos a difficult place to live which such constant attention.
