Santos president Luiz Ribeiro says Neymar knows he wouldn't have been granted the same amount of freedom at Real Madrid.

Neymar decided to reject a move to Real to pen a new deal with Santos last week.

"Neymar plays for the club he grew up with and loves - next to his grandmother and parents. Why change that by going to Real Madrid with a temperamental coach (Jose Mourinho)?" said Ribeiro.

"There, there is a risk you are sent for a haircut and he requires you to have to defend and here he plays as he wants."
