Arsenal have confirmed defender Andre Santos has been loaned to Gremio for the remainder of the season. The Brazilian international failed to establish himself at The Emirates after manager Arsene Wenger paid Fenerbahce 7m euros for his services in August 2011, and has returned to his homeland.
The Gunners website read: "After finding first-team opportunities limited this term, Santos now returns to Brazil's Serie A - the Brasileirao - for more regular first-team football. Everyone wishes Andre well for his time with the Tricolo."
