Santos have not ruled out keeping new loan signing Robinho to the end of the year.

The Manchester City winger has signed on-loan with Santos through to August.

But Santos president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro has not ruled out keeping the player longer, saying: "All contracts can be extended. It would be a dream come true to have Robinho until the end of the year and we have learned that dreams can come true.

"Robinho is back home. It was a negotiation that was complicated but with a very happy ending for Santos. This is also a victory for Brazil. The dream for every Brazilian is to have Robinho fit to play in the World Cup."
