Santos ace Neymar wants to join Barcelona this year - but in December. Barca vice-president Josip Maria Bartomeu has declared they'd like to land Neymar immediately after the London Olympics.

However, El Mundo Deportivo says he would prefer to wait until the end of the Brazilian Championship before moving to the Nou Camp.

Barca already hold first option on Neymar thanks to a €14 million down payment and are confident of a deal, despite late interest from rival competitors.

They will leave Neymar and Santos free until after the Olympics before again discussing when will be the right time to bring the youngster to the Nou Camp.
