Italian defender Davide Santon could be in line to make his Newcastle debut this weekend. The full-back has been hit with a knee problem since joining the club, but has avoided surgery and is set to play for the Magpies second-string against Swansea on Wednesday, and if he comes through unscathed he could be ready to figure at Molineux this weekend.
"We're pleased that Davide's playing, and there are also a few other senior players involved," said assistant manager John Carver.
"He had an issue with his knee, but it doesn't seem to be a huge problem, and we're looking forward to seeing him get some minutes under his belt."
