Davide Santon is chasing a new deal at Newcastle United.
The Daily Star Sunday says Santon, 24, wants talks over a new contract.
The Italian has recovered from a long-term knee injury and has 18 months left on his current deal.
Santon has been linked with a move to AC Milan in a swap deal involving France Under-21s forward M'Baye Niang, 20.
